Purpose of the Scheme: The primary objective of the Maiya Samman Yojana is to provide financial assistance of ₹1000 per month to poor and eligible women in the state. This amount will be transferred directly to women’s bank accounts by the 15th of every month.
First Installment on Raksha Bandhan: The first installment of this scheme will be distributed on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Under the scheme, ₹1000 will be transferred to the accounts of selected women on August 19.
Application Process: The last date for applying to the scheme is August 15. After this date, applications will be processed, and eligible women will receive the benefits. Even if you do not have a ration card, you can still apply, and you will be provided with a receipt for it.
Eligibility: The scheme is open to women aged between 21 and 50 years whose names are not listed on the ration card. They can apply based on their father’s or husband’s name. Even if their father’s or husband’s name is not registered on the ration card, their application will be accepted.
Bank Account and Aadhaar Link: Women whose bank accounts are not linked with Aadhaar can still avail of the benefits of this scheme until December 2024. If someone does not have a ration card, they can still apply and receive a receipt.
